A key difference between actor-lab and most control languages for the RCX is that it maintains a constant link with your model. This has many advantages in terms of knowing what is going on as your program runs, but does impose some limitations. The range of moving models is restricted to the area of a table top, and interference between RCX's can cause problems if you are trying to use several in the same room.

(See the details section and the manuals.)

You can use actor-lab to control any model that you connect up to the RCX, it works with all the input devices except for the rotation sensor. The projects covered in the download section include a cane crusher, a car park barrier, and a buggy that can find its way through mazes and follow lines.
